Yes there is! The main difference between the original and updated multidrive is just the relay bypass and the soft touch switches. The new multidrive also has a new internal power supply which reduces a bit of noise on the distortion channel, but the difference is small. The original multidrive's distortion channel is still pretty quiet, as far as distortion pedals go.
